Weekly Review 22nd – 28th October 2012

29 October 2012

Been a pretty quiet week. A lazy week football wise. Only went to the gym twice and trained twice. But now I’m feeling a bit more refreshed and have more energy.

Booked flights for holidays to Australia in December so I’ll be there for 3 weeks right after I finish my exams in Amsterdam on the 19th of Dec. Already have a plan on keeping fit/getting fitter. Will work on strength in the gym 3-4x per week, soccer sessions at parli house, and fitnessfirst classes. Could be used as an opportunity to increase my fitness levels actually.

I learnt of an interesting opportunity this week courtesy of Erik, the guy who got me a trial with Volendam. The Dayton Dutch Lions who play in the USL Pro are holding an open tryout on Nov 21. They are looking for 3 – 5 players for their USL Pro team and if selected you earn a pro contract where you’re given a salary, accom, etc.

Also saw Luton Town holding open tryouts next week aswell as Barnet on Nov 24. I could possibly go for short day trips there. A train takes roughly 5 hours and fares are 100 pounds I think.. have to consider if it’s really worth it..

Now that I’m writing this.. maybe it’s a good thing to create an “opportunities schedule” or a trial schedule to keep focused.

November
Luton Town Open Trials – Nov 1-2
Dutch Lions – Nov 21
Barnet FC Open Trials – Nov 24

Next Week
Completed 10 hours this week. 15 hours next week.
